A fine collection of photographs by Japanese photographer Hiroshi Yamazaki. While a student at Nihon University College of Art, Yamazaki joined the avant-garde theatre group "Ceiling Plank", formed by Shuji Terayama and others, and worked as a stage director, etc. From the late 1960s, he photographed mainly stage photography and contemporary art, but gradually turned to landscape photography with themes of 'nature', 'sun' and 'time' to explore the fundamental principles of photography. This book is a collection of photographs taken in Yamazaki's early years, from the late 1960s to the early 1970s.
