'Slavik’s Fashion' is a photography project by artist Yurko Dyachyshyn about Slavik, the most fashionable homeless man in the world. This book is a selection taken from 100 photographs taken during chance encounters between the photographer and Slavik on the streets of Lviv, Ukraine, between 2011 and 2013.
Slavik is 55 years old. He does not carry lots of bags. He does not talk to other homeless people. But Slavik almost never wears the same clothing twice. Besides his everyday change of outfit (sometimes twice a day) he regularly alters the look of his hair and beard and shaves his armpits.
In early 2013, Slavik disappeared from the streets of Lviv. As of today nothing is known about his fate.
